Dr. P. M. Marzban



In 1996, Dr. Marzban established practice at Shams Private Hospital in Tabriz, Iran, providing coverage for ER night call and the Critical Care Unit's urgent visits. In 1998 he moved to Tehran to provide similar coverage at the Alvand Private Hospital.

In September, 1999, Dr. Marzban decided to return to school and specialize in Cardiology. He was accepted into the Cardiology Residency program at the Iran University of Medical Sciences in Tehran where he completed the two year Internal Medicine Program. He then went to the Shahid Rajaei Heart Centre for the next three years to complete his Cardiology Training.

Following completion of his post graduate training in 2004, he worked in private practice as a General Cardiologist in addition to completing a two year Interventional Cardiology Fellowship, obtaining first place in his final exams, from Shahid Rajaei Heart Centre in Tehran.

For the past two years, Dr. Marzban has worked as an Interventional Cardiologist at Atieh Hospital in Tehran, Iran.

For the past three months, Dr. Marzban was enrolled in the Non-Registered Specialty Assessment Program (NRSAP) in the Cardiac Sciences Program at the University of Manitoba and the St. Boniface Hospital.
